On 24 July 1647, Jean André Cottalorda and his wife Camille built the chapel of Saint Anne at La Giandola.
It is located near the bridge on the left bank of the Maglia, on the edge of the old royal road
These rural chapels in Breil are among the many rural chapels with baroque decorations built in the Roya from the 17th century onwards, in the context of the Counter-Reformation.

These chapels, which were either collective initiatives or founded by a family, were scattered over the vast agricultural territory of the commune and allowed the celebration of services for the inhabitants of the district.
