The building is very old. On the property there is a chapel which was built in 1100. While renovating, the owners discovered a mausoleum that dates back to Roman times.
Château de Palayson is internationally renowned for its red wines and is listed in the Guide Hachette. Its aim has always been to produce a high quality red wine from a blend of Syrah/Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, similar to a cross between a Bordeaux and Rhone Valley type wine.

By appointment outside of specified hours.
