You will be seduced by the cute and colourful Church of Our Lady of the Visitation, or of the Victory, in neoclassical style of the XXVIIIth century. Its Piedmontese organ, donated by Saorge, interesting Baroque decorative features elements.

Shortly after the acquisition of the County of Tende by the Duke of Savoy, he decided to improve the road linking Nice to Piedmont with the creation of the Grand Ducal Road in 1592 which will become the Royal Road Nice-Turin.
On June 30, 1616, an ordinance of Charles-Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy, decided to install the village of Fontan on its current site.
