In his first one-man show, Clément Viktorovitch plays a communications consultant determined to reveal the secrets of power. Between political satire and a reflection on the role of discourse, he questions the very meaning of democracy.
Following on from his book Le Pouvoir Rhétorique, Clément Viktorovitch, a political science doctor who has worked on popularization programs on France Info, Clique, and Quotidien, appears for the first time on stage in a scathing fiction. He plays the communications advisor to the President of the Republic who, after being brutally ousted, seeks revenge. His weapon? A lecture, in which he decides to reveal all the secrets they used to seize power…
Through this first one-man show, Clément Viktorovitch does more than impart decoding tools: he questions the very place of discourse in our political life. When words are emptied of their content, when communication is reduced to the art of not speaking, how can we still form an opinion? Is it even possible to debate? What if what we've lost along the way is simply... the very meaning of democracy?
