The Mesches climbing site is ideal for beginners from children to intermediate climbers (4a to 6b) in a protected natural setting.
The routes are equipped with chain belays and stainless steel spindles. Maximum route height is 20m.

Situated at an altitude of 1,400 meters, the southeast-facing gneiss cliff enjoys optimum sunshine from morning until late afternoon. However, the months of December, January and February should be avoided due to winter conditions and snow. In summer, beware of the heat, especially with hot sand under the sun.
How to get there
From the Lac des Mesches parking lot, cross the footbridge and walk to the foot of the cliff in just 1 minute.

The site was fully re-equipped in November 2012 and receives regular attention. However, as with any natural site, there are objective risks (falling rocks, etc.). It is your responsibility to take appropriate safety precautions according to local conditions.
Wearing a helmet :
In accordance with federal recommendations:
Supervised practice: helmets are strongly recommended for adults and compulsory for minors.
Individual practice: the wearing of a helmet is at the discretion of each climber, after analysis of the potential risks.
Climbing is your own responsibility. If you don't have the necessary skills, don't hesitate to give up, or to be accompanied by a professional or a federal climbing instructor.
Respect for the environment:
Please respect the environment and do not leave any garbage behind. Garbage cans are available near the parking lot.
