Dissonances is the name of a radio program, recorded live in public, offering a series of broadcasts dedicated to the emblematic figures of our History.
The principle is simple: around a table, journalists and specialists debate and put into perspective the myth constructed around a personality. Les Dissonances is part of the theatrical movement of what is now called stage writing or so-called writing from reality, with one particularity: the protagonists of this debate are "real" specialists.
They are not actors, but "experts" who agree to put their positions into play. Facing them, the journalist is the actor. His role is to ensure the integrity, intelligence, and accessibility of the debate. He directs it and seeks relevance. Through semantic shifts and naive touches, he takes on the role of Candide and Auguste. He accumulates errors, approximations, and untruths. He assumes his comic function and his role as a thorn in the side, coming to tickle the correct where it is political.
The viewer is "trapped" by a debate that eludes its protagonists, yet he is not fooled. Les Dissonances is a simulacrum of a cultural event.
