Domaine La Tourraque

Since 1805, our family has cultivated and therefore protected this valley, a unique biotope populated by a rich fauna: partridge, hare, shrew, Hermann's tortoise, fox, lizard ... This natural space, a Classified Site since 1995, has recently been part of the Port-Cros National Park.

It started out as a self-sufficient farm, hunting and fishing, producing fruit, vegetables, cereals, olive oil and of course wine. Over the decades, the latter has become the main crop. This heritage makes us fully aware of our role in the conservation of this ecosystem.

Thus, in partnership with a beekeeper, bees increase the pollination of local species. The sheep, which come to graze in winter, maintain and fertilize fields and forests. These actions promote biodiversity, and protect the local fauna from fire and the diversification of the maquis. This in turn protects our crops from pests. We obviously produce according to the rules of organic farming.
