Dovecotes and St Honoré Tower

The circular stone tower was probably built at the end of the 19th century to serve as a water tower, and then used at the beginning of the 20th century as a stable and cellar housing a screw press directly connected to the wine vats by a system of terracotta pipes.
Two circular stone dovecotes surround the tower. One is fitted with a flight opening framed by glazed mallons, the whole crowned with latticework and covered with a conical slate roof. The concentration of these stone buildings, only a hundred metres apart, testifies to the importance of agricultural activity on this estate since the 19th century.
