The Heritage Department invites you to (re)discover the extraordinary diversity of architecture in Menton - from the origins of tourism to the eve of the Great War - through an exhibition entitled "Eclecticism and fantasy".
During the development of "Grand tourisme", many unusual buildings were erected in the city of lemons. The architectural landscape has retained its uniqueness, while remaining marked by the imprint of past centuries, notably the Belle Époque.
The exhibition will showcase a selection of jewels, illustrating the taste and erudition of the architects and clients. A reminder that in Menton, public space is an immense open-air museum of architecture!
