As the media say, this museum is one of a kind, open since 1987. On entering, visitors are bewitched by the atmosphere which reigns here.
Created by the famous Danish entomologist and filmmaker Ib Schmedes in the 1980s, it is located in the Sainte-Appolonie district, where nature sings deliciously of Provence.

As soon as he enters, the visitor is immediately enchanted by the atmosphere. Thanks to the vivariums, the visitor will be able to better understand the insects that accompany his walks in the region. Crickets, grasshoppers, praying mantises, crickets... live here in harmony with other insects but also with snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs...

The biotope of each resident is reproduced identically. The aim of the Living Eco-Museum is educational. All visits are commented and guided.
