Some Cannes residents keep in their memory the history of the Christ the King chapel built around 1930 at the entrance to Cannes opposite the Carnot high school. This chapel, which became a parish, expanded to adapt to the new image of the district where many buildings were erected from 1965.

The Church of Christ the King is also the meeting place of the Filipino community; every Sunday at 12:00 p.m. the service is celebrated in English and Filipino.
