Consecrated in 1535, the church was built on 11th and 13th century remains.
In the 11th century, a Notre-Dame chapel was built on the site of the current church, The first fortified manor house was built during the same period and the village gradually built up around it.
The church reached its final dimensions in the 16th century under the reign of François I when it was dedicated to the the apostles, Saint Peter and Saint Paul, and consecrated in 1535.
