Winner of the 2015 RFI Discovery Prize, Elida Almeida lets her voice vibrate to the rhythm of Cape Verdean sounds blended with modern influences. Between roots and universality, she offers an intense and danceable musical journey.

Born on the island of Santiago, forged in the simplicity of church hymns and the strength of everyday life, Elida Almeida is much more than a singer: she is a voice, a soul, an energy. Winner of the 2015 RFI Discovery Prize, she captivated audiences from the very beginning with the song "Nta Konsigui," which has now been viewed more than 2.7 million times on YouTube. Since then, she has toured, won awards, and performed on prestigious stages around the globe.

From Cape Verde to Europe, via Africa and North America, Elida blends traditional rhythms such as batuque, funaná, and coladera with modern sounds with Latin accents. A powerful, captivating, and danceable fusion.

With her warm, smooth, and vibrant voice, Elida takes you on a musical journey that is as intimate as it is universal.
