A sensory experience combining wine tasting and a tour of the museum exhibition.
We invite you to discover the Musée du Niel, located on the charming port of Niel, at the tip of the Giens peninsula.
In the intimacy of the museum garden, start your evening with a guided tour of the exhibition 2025, Dubuffet et les magiciens - Expressions singulières 1945-2000. An immersion in the freest and most inventive art forms of the 20th century, from the figures of Art Brut to those of the CoBrA movement, via the singular universes revealed by Michel Tapié.
Then, give way to the warmth of the evening. On the museum's panoramic terrace, with the sea as a backdrop and the last rays of sunlight, enjoy a gourmet dinner composed by our chef: amuse-bouche, starter, fish platter, meat platter and fruity dessert, prepared to the rhythm of the seasons with carefully selected local produce.
An evening of art and flavor, light and emotion, in one of the most beautiful settings on the Var coast.
A few words about the exhibition 2025 - Dubuffet and the magicians
Singular Expressions 1945 - 2000
In the post-war years, Jean Dubuffet shook up the artistic landscape by defining Art Brut: a pure, instinctive form of expression, on the bangs of academic conventions. At the same time, the CoBrA movement explored a primitive, vibrant pictorial language. A little later, Michel Tapié coined the notion of "art autre", inviting us to explore a parallel dimension of creation.
This intellectual and artistic effervescence reveals a generation of artists with singular approaches, true precursors of major contemporary movements.
