Villa Arson welcomes Charlotte Peyronnet for a conference entitled Et toi, pourquoi tu bois? (And you, why do you drink?) on issues of product consumption in LGBTQIA+ communities, as part of the Serpentine Thinking Lesbian and Queer Cultures course.
Charlotte Peyronnet is 35 years old. After graduating from agricultural engineering school, she enrolled at Sciences Po Paris for a master's degree in journalism. A reporter and morning presenter on RMC for several years, she then opened her own restaurant in Paris, which sells 100% directly from French producers. After three years in the restaurant business, Charlotte worked in events and then released her book "Et toi, pourquoi tu bois?" in January 2024 with Denoël.
In a raw and frank account, she tells us not how she quit drinking, but how she got there. Why she drank, how she hid it. Glass after glass, year after year.
Charlotte has now been sober for four years. She works in the food industry and gives lectures on alcoholism.
