In Menton, at the foot of the cliffs that run along the Italian border, the Villa Maria Serena's gardens are set in a place known as Little Africa.
Created in 1886 at the request of the Foucher de Careil family, Villa Maria Serena was acquired in 1922 by British banker Henry Konig, who bequeathed it to the town in 1947.
Its refined neoclassical architecture sets it radically apart from other buildings in the area. Owned by the city of Menton, Maria Serena bears witness to the belle époque and the interwar years. TV series, seminars, scientific and ministerial councils...
The villa is the setting for major events that still take place there today.
6 Tours scheduled for this coming Sunday, September 21 & limited to 30 people per session. Reception departures: 09:00 - 10:00 - 11:00 & 14:00 - 15:00 - 16:00
