Originally from Punjab, Sunny Sandhu, alias Bhoomitra (‘Friend of the Earth’), is a musician, music therapist and gallery owner.
Based in Saint Paul, he teaches music therapy and showcases Gond tribal art. Trained in modern medicine and then Indian classical music, he creates visual and sound works inspired by nature and its vital forces.
He recently received the Beyond Music Award for his piece Si Ghan.
