The exhibition reveals a poetic and powerful vision of sumo through the photographs of Philippe Marinig and the prints of Kinoshita Daimon.
Their works interact with an exceptional selection of rare pieces on loan from several prestigious institutions. The public will be able to discover a unique panorama: old prints, objects bearing the likeness of wrestlers, diplomatic gifts presented to Jacques Chirac – a great admirer of Japanese culture – and even a trophy designed by Pierre Soulages.
