Perched on the heights of Vence, Château Saint-Martin & Spa, an iconic Oetker Collection property, continues its artistic commitment this season by showcasing the works of Agnès Sandahl.
A multidisciplinary artist renowned for her sensitivity to places and light, Agnès Sandahl presents an exhibition inspired by the natural elegance of Château Saint-Martin & Spa, its Mediterranean gardens, and the ever-changing reflections of the Mediterranean. Through a series of large-scale paintings, ceramic frescoes, vases, and plates, she weaves a dialogue between the landscape and the serene atmosphere of the property.
The artworks, dominated by shades of blue and green, seem perfectly at home within the estate’s gallery. Each piece has been created with a sense of harmony, thoughtfully designed to integrate gracefully with the hotel’s aesthetic. The artist’s gesture is intuitive, fueled by emotion and music, offering guests an immersive, poetic, and contemporary experience.
"I wanted each piece to naturally find its place in this exceptional setting, respecting its calm, poetry, and refinement. My goal was not simply to exhibit artworks, but to create a dialogue between forms, materials, and this unique place," says Agnès Sandahl.
More than just an exhibition, this artistic offering provides a sensitive perspective on the Riviera, one rooted in texture and elevated by light. It is an invitation to contemplate and feel the emotions that emanate from each creation.
