Born in Monaco and raised in a small French village near the Italian border, the artist will invite the visitor to discover his world, blending a love of wood and design.
His marquetry work utilizes the natural knots and colors of the wood, sometimes using wood stained throughout, to create shapes, impressions, and relief, giving the illusion of painting.
His style, fusion marquetry, is characterized by innovative inlays designed to create a highly realistic effect and enhance his works. He works with marquetry in various ways: with contemporary designs, large formats, reversible pieces, and even inlays with real materials, such as jewelry, leather, and pieces of musical instruments—another of his passions.
Also an avid surfer and traveler, Brett G. has visited more than 30 countries and lived in Ireland, Spain, and Russia. All his creations are largely inspired by his encounters and travels. They reflect a commitment to sustainability and eco-responsibility, with an eco-design style.
