The Feast of Saint Lawrence is celebrated every year on August 10 in honor of Saint Lawrence of Rome, a deacon martyred in 258 under Emperor Valerian. He is considered the patron saint of the poor, cooks and firefighters. The festivities committee presents its program from Friday August 7: 9pm blessing, followed by the torchlight procession, 10pm fireworks followed by a DJ dance under the big top to open the week of festivities.
