From the earliest domesticated hearths to today's ritual, religious and industrial uses, it shows just how much fire has shaped societies and cultures.

From votive torches to oil lamps, from ancient braziers to Christmas lights, each piece explores mankind's complex relationship with time, the seasons and darkness.
