Fountain inaugurated in September 2007 in the presence of COEXIST Foundation President James Kidner, Cherie Blair, wife of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and U2 singer Bono.

The COEXIST Foundation, with its logo of the Muslim Crescent, the Jewish Star of David and the Christian Cross, works to promote exchanges between different religions. A second fountain is located at the foot of the lighthouse.
