Just 15 minutes off the coast of the Bay of Cannes, the island of Saint Honorat, set between blue and turquoise, is a small green garden that the ancients called Lérina.
A paradise of sunshine, a jewel of greenery, freshness and an oasis of silence... The island of Saint Honorat is a private island belonging to the monks of the Abbey of Lérins.
The 21 monks who today make up the community of the monastery of the Cistercian Congregation of the Immaculate Conception have been cultivating their vineyard with art and passion since the Middle Ages. All the stages (pruning, disbudding and harvesting) are carried out by hand. The vineyard now covers eight hectares, and the monks have been producing top-quality wines and liqueurs for 150 years.
Discover the tenth-century chapels and eleventh-century remains dotted around the island, which also offers free access to small natural coves and paths lined with olive trees and Aleppo pines.
On the programme: sea excursions, wine & liqueur tastings, wine cruises, guided tours, meeting rooms...
As soon as you step off the boat, you'll be greeted by the scents of the South.
