This ‘Marriage’ has a whiff of revolution about it!
This hard-hitting adaptation puts Beaumarchais' text in the spotlight, revealing all its contemporary relevance. Beyond its comedic force, the comedy here shines with all the acuity of the ferocious social criticism it underlies. At Figaro's wedding, while we have fun, we also point the finger at relationships of domination, whether social or between men and women. A comedy to be sure, but a revolutionary one!
