The show ‘Babeth Takes Retirement’ recounts the first 10 years of her new life as a retiree. You will meet her at her retirement party with her colleagues, see her join a leisure club, cook, play sports... and even find love! You will discover the key elements of a healthy retirement: diet, exercise, maintaining a social life...
This play summarises 10 years of encounters, discoveries, new hobbies, projects coming to fruition... but also 10 years of facing prejudice and preconceptions, asserting oneself and gaining self-confidence. These are themes that affect us all when we retire.
For an hour, the three improvisational actors from the local theatre company ‘Lisa 21’ switch roles, sing, slam poetry... and draw us into a show that makes us laugh, touches us and makes us think!
