Perched atop a peak in a superb mountain setting, the village of La Roquette-sur-Var offers a vast panorama from the Sea to the highest peaks in the Mercantour Park.
Along with its picturesque little streets, fountains and wash house, the village has preserved many traces of the past. The ruins of Castel-Vieil attest to Roman and Mediaeval occupation. On the main square, the traditional game of pétanque adds to the convivial atmosphere of La Roquette-sur-Var.
