The church of Saint Michel de Gast occupies a special place in the heart of the Vésubie valley, both as a community and as part of its former seigniory.
Built in the 16th century by the Hospitaller order, it underwent a Baroque transformation in the 17th century. Since 1994, the church has been listed as a Monument Historique. Inside, several remarkable altarpieces bear witness to the artistic and religious wealth of the site. Fabien Blanc-Garidel, Head Curator, Head of the Nice Côte d'Azur Archaeology Department Éric Gilli, PhD in History, Université de Nice, associate researcher at the CMMC and the Centre d'Etudes de l'Amont Luc Thevenon, Doctor of History, Honorary Chief Curator of Heritage
