With a panoramic terrace and a languid appetite under a canisse pergola, the seaside restaurant ‘Le Bar du Soleil’ in Giens takes up its summer quarters in the Parc du Provençal.
A cocoon of freshness even in the height of summer, with light breezes and azure fragrances, lemon-yellow furniture and colourful crockery, there's no doubt that Le Bar du Soleil restaurant in Giens lives up to its name.
A focal point for sharing, Le Bar du Soleil is at the heart of the Provençal experience. It's the place to come in the morning, for a lunch with a view, a signature cocktail and a pastry in the afternoon, and into the evening, never in a hurry.
The menu conjures up the aromatic power of the Var region and the Mediterranean, from Provence to neighbouring Italy. Sunshine on the plates, burrata to die for, vegetables glazed with olive oil, crunchy, preserved or marinated, grilled fish and light wines, the menu follows the seasons, the return of the catch and the chef's inspiration.
Our absolute favourite is the platter of boutique pastries, presented at the table. Choosing means giving up: tartlet, chocolate dessert or flan... fortunately there's still tomorrow. Under the sun exactly.
