Afternoon has come. Penelope has presented the bow and arrows that will decide her fate. Everyone is in the palace: Odysseus, disguised as a beggar, and the suitors, eager to be done with it... Then, the beggar king weighs the bow, takes an arrow, places it on the string, tightens the string, and the arrow is fired... the curtain rises on a massacre.
