To the west of Porquerolles, near the Jaume Garde beacon, lies the famous Sec des Murènes.
Several rock heads interspersed with large faults. A small sandbar separates the 2 dry areas. Conger eels and moray eels abound and are used to divers. Numerous sars and drum sars are found in the area. You're likely to come across dentex and nice schools of barracuda.
With the head of the rock at around 20 meters, this dive is quite accessible from Level 1.
