The rich wine culture of the region is strongly rooted in the history of the Marquet family. Established in 1962 by the Vignerons du Village, it creates high-end wines that capture the terroir and traditions of the area.
The village's winegrowers eventually stopped making wine in their private cellars. Following their decision to unite, Les Marquets/Les Vignerons du Plan de la Tour grew to encompass roughly 55 winegrowers with a total vineyard area of 183 hectares. One of the most well-known terroirs in the Golfe de Saint-Tropez is this vineyard. A.O.C. Côtes de Provence accounts for about 90% of its production.
The Cave des Marquets produces about 90% of the rosé wines. Because of the diversity of grapes used and the skill used in their development, these wines are tasty, fruity, smooth, and pale. The range includes a number of cuvées:
Our terroir is beautifully represented by Cuvée Les Terrasses du Golfe, which was created in the classic Provençal style and took home a gold medal at the 2024 Féminalise international competition.
A wine to share that represents the art of living in Provence is the Cuvée Esquisse des Marquets.
Cuvée Opus des Marquets: At the global Féminalise 2024 competition, this stunning wine took home a gold medal.
Cuvée Grand Œuvre, the pinnacle of Les Marquets' expertise, is a must-have for your parties.
Each wine is painstakingly made using both conventional and contemporary winemaking methods, showcasing their dedication to sustainability and ecological preservation while encapsulating the spirit of the area.
There is virtually little humus in the granite terroir of the Plan de la Tour town. Rolle grapes, which make highly sought-after flowery wines, provide excellent white wines from this region. Outstanding, well-balanced red wines with luscious fruit smells are also produced by it; some of these are kept in barrel vaults for a number of years.
In the Provence wine sector, Les Marquets is a symbol of quality, heritage, and devotion.
Local supermarkets, our sales cellar, and the best eateries in the Golfe de Saint-Tropez all carry our wines. Olive oil, anchoïade, tapenade, terrines, and aperitif wines are among the local items available in our cellar, which is open every day but Sunday.
