La Londe les Maures celebrates its liberation on 17 August with a number of events in the town centre and at the Port Miramar.
The 81st anniversary of the Liberation of La Londe will be celebrated with dignity on Sunday 17 August.
Commemorative ceremonies in front of the Monument aux Morts, on the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville at 6pm, followed by a parade of WW2 vehicles from Provence 44, accompanied by emergency vehicles from the CCFF, the Police Municipale and the Sapeurs-Pompiers.
A cocktail reception and concert will be held on the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville from 7.15pm.
Fireworks at 10pm followed by the Liberation Ball, from 10.30pm on the Place Georges-Gras in Port Miramar.
