What if the first cultural tool wasn't a weapon, but a bag?

The exhibition Lucy's Handbag rethinks the way narratives are constructed—not as straight lines leading to triumph, but as assemblages, receptacles, gestures of care. This text, which has become fundamental to many contemporary artists, invites us to tell stories differently: without heroes, but with attention, listening, and connection. The symbolic starting point is Lucy, the first nearly complete human skeleton ever discovered. A woman. Here, Lucy holds not a weapon, but an imaginary bag, filled with objects, artifacts, and fragments of meaning.
The exhibition space becomes this bag: a collective container traversed by works in dialogue, weaving links between emerging and established positions, between contemporary concerns and echoes of art history.
Lucy's Handbag brings together works that contain more than they show. They do not tell a single story, but carry several, opening spaces for thinking, feeling, and associating—differently.
