Invited to major festivals (Salzburg, Berlin, Bath, Aldeburgh, La Roque d’Anthéron…), Florent Boffard has played under the direction of Pierre Boulez, Simon Rattle, Leon Fleisher, Péter Eötvös with the Lyon National Orchestra, among others…

A soloist with the Ensemble Intercontemporain from 1988 to 1999, he worked alongside leading contemporary composers and premiered numerous pieces by Boulez, Donatoni, Ligeti, Kurtág, and others. Recipient of the Belmont Prize from the Forberg-Schneider Foundation (Munich) for his commitment to contemporary music, he has conducted numerous workshops and presented concerts, notably at the La Roque d’Anthéron Festival. In 2019, Florent Boffard was a guest of MusikFest Berlin and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg as part of a “Portrait” series dedicated to the composer George Benjamin.
