A day out in the great outdoors for all the family at the Espace Naturel Sensible de la Brûlade in La Londe les Maures.
A 100% nature-themed event not to be missed.
The 2027 programme is currently being finalised; a look back at the 2026 event:
On Sunday 3 May 2026, from 10.00 am to 6.30 pm, the Brûlade Sensitive Natural Area will come alive with ‘Nature en Fête’, a friendly, family-oriented day centred on the theme of water.
Over 100 partners are coming together to offer activities, workshops, shows and hands-on experiences for young and old alike, in a cheerful atmosphere.
Highlights of the day include:
La Petite Ferme and its animals, an introduction to goat milking, a butter-making workshop, salad planting, educational games, traditional crafts, donkey and pony rides…
Free shows running throughout the day:
• 10.00 am: Balance bike race for children up to 5 years old (meet at 9.45 am in front of the PEEP stand)
• 10.45 am and 4.30 pm: Horse show “A water nymph on horseback exploring Provence”
• 11.15 am, 3.30 pm, 2 pm and 5.15 pm: Marcel Pagnol Theatre. Various scenes from *Jean de Florette* performed by the “Dans la Cour des Grands” theatre company
• 12 noon: Opening ceremony with complimentary drinks
• 1.15 pm: Performance by the Londese Rhythmic Gymnastics group: “Voyage au fil de l’eau”
Nature en Fête also features a myriad of immersive and free workshops where you can learn whilst having fun!
• Early learning and discovery: understanding and experiments on water and its cycle, learning about seabirds and invasive species, an exhibition on boat-building, an introduction to floral waters, an introduction to first aid…
• Fun activities: model boat races, duck fishing, cycle circuit, quizzes, board games…
• Creative activities: drawing, colouring, making ropes and wicker traps…
• Awareness-raising: conservation of water resources, understanding the impact of climate change on water-related risks, guidance on waste sorting, a quiz on energy-efficient renovation, a game on the conservation of endangered species…
Free walks:
Two guided walks are on offer, setting off from La Brûlade, for children aged 8 and over. Register on site 30 minutes before departure; groups are limited to 40–45 people. Pets not allowed.
• 8.30 am – “Tour de La Londe”: 8.5 km with 20 m of elevation gain
• 9.15 am – “Entre Terre et Mer”: 5 km with 10 m of elevation gain
