Comparing the artistic practices of contemporary urban culture - notably graffiti, frescoes and installations - with the earliest graphic manifestations of mankind raises questions about the permanence of creative gestures down the ages.
Through emblematic works of street art, the exhibition highlights the symbolic, formal and social continuities between prehistoric cave art and today's urban visual expressions. The aim is to highlight their common function in the construction of collective narratives, the appropriation of space, and the transmission of identity and cultural messages.
This trans-chronological dialogue is an opportunity to reflect on the evolution of modes of expression and the fundamental role of the image in human society, from prehistory to the present day.
