He fled his country. He tells us about his terrible journey. He made it to the end. But here, the coveted promised land, the happy land as they say, reveals its true colors: that of moral and material misery.
You have to clean hotels, live in dilapidated buildings, work on tough construction sites. You have to send money home, no matter what, even if your family gradually forgets you. He was from there, he came here, and he can never leave this place again.

“We love contemporary works and current and deeply human subjects. We love what makes man so unique in his quest for truth, in the way he builds himself, in his quest for a better life. For the past four years, we have been showing two monologues by Emmanuel Darley: Who's Going There?, the story of a man wandering with the memory of a missing mother; and Tuesday at Monoprix, whose heroine Marie-Pierre had to build herself with her transgender identity. It was therefore quite natural that we chose this text and, building on the success of the two previous ones, we want to offer a third installment to our human saga.”
