The 22nd edition of Porquerolles's Classic, sponsored by the Yacht Club de France, is part of the Classic regatta circuit. Aesthetically, the event features traditional, vintage boats. It's also a sporting event, with some 50 boats competing in the Bay of Hyères and the Port of Porquerolles.
It includes both constructed and coastal courses in the harbor and around the islands of Hyères. On the final day, the Moonbeam Trophy commemorates the origins of Porquerolle's Classic. It was created in 2003 to celebrate the centenary of Moonbeam of Fife, the famous auric yawl built in the Scottish shipyard of Fairlie.
The show at sea is grandiose.
