Large gathering of traditional boats. The regatta is included in the official calendar of the Association Française des Yachts de Tradition. It brings together some fifty boats, including some of the finest sailing yachts in the Mediterranean.

The Porquerolles Classic, sponsored by the Yacht Club de France, is part of the Classic Regatta Circuit. This event offers aesthetic appeal with its historic, traditional boats. It also holds sporting appeal, bringing together some 50 boats in Hyères Bay and the Port of Porquerolles. The race consists of set courses and coastal legs in the harbor and around the Hyères Islands. On the final day, the Moonbeam Trophy is held to commemorate the origins of the Porquerolle’s Classic. It was created in 2003 to celebrate the centennial of the Moonbeam of Fife, a famous gaff-yawl built at the Fairlie shipyard in Scotland. The spectacle at sea is spectacular.
