The port of Villefranche-Santé is a small, sheltered harbor that can accommodate around 50 ships from April to October.
This port, managed directly by the departmental council, welcomes over 200,000 cruise passengers every year.
Located to the north of the citadel, the Port de la Santé is home to fishing boats, a number of pleasure craft docked at the quayside, and, above all, the shuttles of ocean liners at anchor. Two Marine Nationale coffers (10,000 and 35,000 tons) are anchored in the bay to facilitate the call of cruise ships, which are placed by a pilot from the Port of Nice.
