Impulso recounts the creation of a show by Spanish dancer and choreographer Rocío Molina for the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris.
Winner of the First National Dance Prize at the age of 26 and a world-renowned prima ballerina at 30, Rocío Molina tirelessly pushes the boundaries of traditional flamenco. Demonstrating her uncompromising modernity, her improvisations (Impulsos) are a unique exercise. Impulso explores what makes Rocío Molina an exceptional dancer, the enfant terrible of modern flamenco: the systematic transgression of rules, her constant search for the breaking point, including with her body, and her very personal way of questioning the condition of women in the 21st century.
