The Way of Saint James passes below the Rock of Roquebrune and continues for 1,500 km to the tomb of James the Great, located in a crypt of the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in the Spanish region of Galicia.
Roquebrune-sur-Argens is home to a pilgrimage tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages. An ancient testimony dating from the 14th century has been found in the local archives. It is the story of Jacques Amic, a pilgrim from Roquebrune-sur-Argens, who tells about his journey to Santiago de Compostela and the experiences he encountered along the way.
