Committed to eco-responsible tourism and keen to reduce the impact on the environment, Catherine the caretaker (and therefore the refuge) has been awarded the 'Esprit Parc National' label. This label is a real recognition of our work and the different choices we have made in managing the building. We are also members of the Mercantour Ecotourisme association.
In winter, the refuge has 12 beds, a wood-burning stove, blankets, crockery and lighting. No gas, no water.
