Chef Jean Imbert's new gastronomic project, the restaurant La Palme d'Or, in the heart of the Hôtel Martinez opened on Tuesday 14 May 2024.
And what could be more obvious and natural for Jean Imbert than to explore the magic of Cannes himself? He's been a film buff from an early age, fed on the big screen and anthology films at home, but above all he's always been linked to the Cannes Festival, where he's been coming to cook since he was 16, in the hustle and bustle of the back kitchens, while sneaking into the official screenings, discreetly, between two restaurant services on the Croisette?

For this new adventure at "La Palme d'Or", Jean Imbert wanted to do things simply and spontaneously. His cuisine is gastronomic, of course, but above all it's uninhibited and instinctive, with a focus on fish, either sublimely raw or grilled over a wood fire, and the many riches of the Mediterranean.
