The Les Beaux Parleurs company is pleased to present "The Bald Soprano" by Eugène Ionesco, performed by 6 young actors and actresses from the Cannes Conservatory who continue their journey in a space where derision, a sense of humor, nonconformity, and a critique of today's communication methods give pride of place to the text and a love of language.
The Play
In a bourgeois living room, Mr. and Mrs. Smith attempt to communicate about the banality of their daily lives.
But everything is just fine... since they live near London and their name is Smith.
Soon the maid will introduce the Martins (unexpected guests whom their hosts have forgotten).
The protagonists are in place. The evening can begin.
The evening will then become lively, colorful, full of anecdotes, witty remarks, and surreal stories... but little by little, appearances will crack, giving way to linguistic chaos and a verbal fireworks display whose grand finale will be a theatrical twist...
A romance between the firefighter and the maid will challenge the customs and traditions of these bewildered bourgeois characters.
