Cannes, the capital of outdoor sports, wanted an iconic location for its new skatepark – and found it right on the Croisette, offering breathtaking views over the Mediterranean and the Estérel mountains. The skatepark features:
- A total surface area of 1,252 m², including 278 m² of green space and 20 newly planted trees (see below)
- Three bowls with heights of 1.50 m, 1.80 m, and 2.50 m, suitable for other sports like rollerblading, BMX, and scootering (motorised vehicles are not permitted)
- A 4.70 m high cradle – the only one of its kind in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region – acting both as an additional ramp for tricks and as a piece of public art. Its polished stainless-steel finish with a mirror effect reflects the surrounding landscape
- Premium, durable materials, designed to withstand time and the elements, with the added benefit of absorbing noise
- A CCTV camera discreetly integrated into a lighting mast to ensure site security
- A dual lighting system that separates the “sport” lighting for the bowl from functional pedestrian lighting around the facility
