The 17th century building is preceded by an open porch, very characteristic of the traditional rural architecture of the County of Nice.
On his court was executed and burned for witchcraft the last witch of the Alpes-Maritimes on November 16, 1623.
The chapel was entitled to Saint-Antoine Abbé, saint thaumaturge, protector of the Lascaris-Vintimille family, invoked by the faithful to cure ergotism (Fire of Saint-Antoine)
The chapels built on the outskirts of the villages, were dedicated to protect the inhabitants against epidemics and diseases and for this purpose, were entitled to the Holy healers.
