This small island in the Lérins archipelago, just a few kilometres from Cannes, is bursting with treasures - monastery, fortifications, chapels, vineyards - and offers a complete change of scenery. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a place of calm and spirituality.
Saint Honorat, the seat of the Abbey of Lérins, was founded by Saint Honorat in the 5th century. Rich in spirituality and vestiges of the past (monastery, fortifications, chapels), the island is the property of a community of Cistercian monks who cultivate vines and produce a liqueur called Lérina. The abbey offers guided tours on a variety of themes and a restaurant open all year round, La Tonnelle.
