ST JOHN'S DAY PARTY
Friday 26 June 2026
Place de la Courtine
St John's Day was originally a spring festival. It was a celebration of renewal, and the pagan tradition of passing through the flames of a brazier took on the meaning of purification. A few weeks later, the arrival of the summer solstices gave us another excuse to celebrate. St John's Day at the end of June is said to have been born of the marriage of these two celebrations.
Organised by the Comité Officiel des Fêtes, this beautiful village festival is a harbinger of summer and its festivities. Under the lanterns and to the rhythmic music of DJ Dana Dare and singer Fanny, come and dance along with the people of Saint-Paul.
